WD Challenges Seagate With Thinnest 1 TB Laptop Hard Drive

techtree Western Digital has announced that its new 2.5-inch WD Blue 7mm hard drive is the world's thinnest 1 TB HDD. Having already begun shipping in India through select distributors and resellers, it offers OEMs, system integrators and consumers a storage solution for thin and light laptops (also called ultrabooks). It retains compatibility with industry-standard 9.5mm drive slots of mainstream laptops.
